Service Projects

Back to School in Style!

Come support our special clothing event. We gather gently used clothes, display them in retail style, and then open for business to the community who needs back to school clothes. We even have people available to help kids "shop" to create full outfits. We need your donations of clothes and donations of time for setup and clean-up.

August 5th - 8th & 9th, in the MVHS Lunchroom.

10am-1pm and 5pm-8pm, 4pm-7pm on 9th.

Call Pam at 307-780-7817 if you can help in anyway.

What a joy it is to provide for the needs of others. Gateway Community Christian Church strives to reveal God to the community through acts of kindness and works of service.  If your faith has feet, join us for a project or two.

Angel Tree - This ministry matches needy individuals and families with people who want to help them. If you are willing and able to provide for specific needs of a family or individual, please contact Hope Benedict or call the church.

The Grub Club - This ministry of Gateway provides free weekend food to school aged children K-8th grade in both Mountain View and Lyman. There is absolutely no cost to participants in the program. Meals are delivered discreetly to the participant’s school at the end of each school week. A weekend meal typically contains breakfast, lunch and a snack for each day of the weekend during the school year. (Excludes holiday breaks)

Grub Club will provide lunches on days of summer school.

To learn more about the program, to donate time or resources, or to have a child included; please leave a message for Hope at 747-5419.

International Service Project - July 29-August 7, 2016

Come to Honduras with us!  A group from our church will be partnering with two Salt Lake City churches to go and serve together. Hungy for Life, the organization specializing in mobilizing local churches for these special projects, will lead our team and provide all the logistics so we can focus on serving the good people of Honduras.  If you are interested in joining the group going, or would like to help with fund raising for the trip; please contact Michal Smith at 747-5419.

Gifts for SAFV - Sadly, family violence is a part of our world. We are helping those families by providing household items so they can start the next step in their healing. Whether you want to furnish a single room of your choice, provide all the utensils for the kitchen, or donate all the laundry or cleaning supplies for a family - all gifts are appreciated. Please bring your gift "baskets" to church or call Hope Benedict at our church number (747-5419) or take them directly to the SAFV office in the Lyman Town Hall.

Uinta Senior Center - Volunteers needed to deliver hot meals to the 'homebound' seniors in Bridger Valley. If you can do 1 day a week, or even 1 day a month it will be such a blessing for all involved. Call USC 782-6502 for more details.

Relay for Life - Relay for Life is the nationwide signature activity for the American Cancer Society. Money raised will support the work of the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer. If you'd like to lead or be on a team for Gateway or just be involved in Relay for Life, contact the church or Jessica Parkyn at 747-4050.
